Joe Calzaghe has declared Altinkum a knockout choice to buy property. For
Joe,who recently retained his World Super Middleweight Boxing title
snapped up a three-bedroom penthouse at the Appollon Holiday Village built
by Wise Move Homes. The London-born boxer of Italian and Welsh descent
said "Although I consider this a great long term investment, I have bought
the penthouse for my own use and for family and friends.I will be coming

Turkey is about is about to give birth to a
whole new golfing industry. The country,once a stranger to the game of
golf,will in the next decade become one of the major golfing
destinations,attracting both holidaymakers and UK golfers looking to
make a new home there.
In May 2004,when the Turkish Golfing Federation unveiled its
ambitious new
plans,there were just nine golf courses,-three at Istanbul,and the
rest in the Antalya area,already a popular holiday destination for
Britons.

One of the most expensive and luxurious
marinas in Europe is about to start construction on Turkey's beautiful
Aegean coast. A new era beckons for the Didim/Altinkum area on the Aegean
coast with the final transfer of coastal land and sea areas for the $50
million construction of a marina for 555 yachts. The marina project was
confirmed with the historic contract signing between Dogus Holdings and
the Treasury recently and the handover of 115.000m2 of Treasury land and
173.000m2 of sea.

Dogus, who built the spectacular marina
at Bodrum has agreed to own and manage the marina for 25 years before it
is handed back to the Government.
Work will now begin with the project scheduled to finish within just
30 months. The marina, which will also have a capacity for 300 yachts in
dry dock, as well as a boat yard, is expected to further fuel the
continuing property boom on the beautiful Aegean coast of Turkey. The
particular hot spots and prime locations for high growth are forecast to
be locations close to the new marina road which leads right down to the
new facility. The Aegean coast of Altinkum has recently seen price rises
of over 30% per year. Many people are also unaware that this part of
Altinkum on the Aegean coast has been designated as the No 1 area for
government funding as it is surrounded by beaches and lies just across
from the Greek islands. In 2007 there will be a regular ferry link between
this part of Turkey and the Greek island of Kos. There is certain to be a
huge level of foreign and government investment to this popular area which
sees tens of thousands of British already visiting to take advantage of
the 300 days of sunshine a year. The latest news on the $50 million marina
is expected to completely rejuvenate the area beyond the Third Beach side
of Altinkum. Head of Didim Municipality Ali Cetin added: "This represents
the biggest ever opportunity for Didim. It will change the face of the
area forever." Didim Mayor Mumin Kamaci added: "We are at the dawn of a
new era for the town and we will grasp this unique opportunity with both
hands. The marina is the future of Didim." The area around the third beach
has already designated at least three specific areas for new golf courses
and there are several foreign companies that are looking at this
seriously. |
