Altinkum is a growing force on the Turkish property scene. Thanks to the growing popularity of Altinkum as a tourist destination and to buy property, flight operators began opening up more and more routes to Turkey.

Then Altinkum became famous in the industry, because of the £33.6 million marina development that was constructed, commencing in 2008 and completed in 2009, including cinemas, malls, helipads and moorings for over 1000 yachts making it the largest in the Aegean. The marina was one of the first steps of a government drive to attract higher net worth tourists and move away from the domination of all inclusive.
From the perspective of investing in property in Altinkum the marina was like a gift from heaven. The construction brought jobs and money to the local economy, as does the continued operation of the marina. Cruise ships can now stop of in Altinkum for another possible revenue stream. Boat trips can be offered from the marina for yet another tourist attraction. Meanwhile property is still some of the cheapest in Europe, with beach front apartments in Altinkum costing a fraction of what they do elsewhere.
